Crooked Island Sound - Posted: 03/20/09
Another day in paradise here on the forgotten coast, we ran from the Mexico Beach canal to crooked island sound, and the water was emerald green. Along the Flipper came alongside the boat looking for handouts, he was disappointed until I started catching some small spanish mackerel, then he stole the fish right off the hook and had lunch.

The eagles were on the nests and it looks like at least one had eggs to watch over. There are now 4 active nests around crooked island, add that to the shells to collect from the beach and the crystal waters to snorkel, its a great place to spend a few hours.

Reply Posted: 06/15/09 I was reading about your sightseeing trips. My husband loves eagles, how long are they in the area? What all might we expect to see on such a trip, other than the possibility of me hanging over the side getting sick. What is the cost of the sighseeing trip per person or couple? We will be at St. Joe Beach from June 21 through the 28th. Also how far in advance must we make reservations. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks
