Mexico beach artificial reef association had the annual tournament this weekend, and team FloriDaze was ready...we set out at 5 am with a limited amount of live bait, but plenty of frozen options including large ribbon fish. We ran about 44 miles and hit some great areas, marking some new bottom fishing numbers along the way. We got back to weigh-in with 5 kings, the largest about 27 lbs, not big enough to make the board, but a great day fishing. We watched another boat fight and release a 7 ft sailfish, that was exciting!!
The king fishing is great through the middle of October, the fall run should be HOT...we are also seeing the fall cobia migration starting....so lets go fishing!
